Preface
Boy howdy has it been a time. My playtime on the account has been extremely sporadic in the past 6 months, due to many things that I won’t address, general burnout, and the fact that I’m garbage and have been working hard and lost 72 pounds/32.7 kilograms this year.
That’s not to say I haven’t done things (And I assure you, as you’ll soon see, that some very good things have been done). I could have posted a log much earlier than this, given some of the things included, but again, burnout plus not having the mental energy to do so kinda fucked that up.
I will address one thing, though. I am not really back into things, but it’s mostly due to timing this time. Currently doing Group Ironman with some friends, and then the new League and new Path of Exile stuff starts up soon, and I also hope to find a better job, which will take time away from what I plan to do.
And I have big plans.
I have spent the last few months setting up something extremely beneficial to the account which will launch it into the next phase of things when I can commit the time and energy to it.
It’s time to dive into something a long time coming.
Progress
My exact memory of things might be hazy, but I will generalize or postulate what I was doing in the screenshots that I am sharing.
Herblore, being a very useful skill, has always been something I’ve been working on. While killing Kurasks for supplies for that, I hit 88 Attack.

While doing the same at Cockatrices, I hit 98 Hitpoints.

During an actual break, I camped at the farming patches until my membership ran out, hitting 63 and then 64 Farming.

Trying to rekindle my desire to play, I hopped on to F2P and parked
myself at Barbarian Village, fishing and cooking Trout and Salmon,
hitting 96, 97, and 98 Cooking.

A friend of mine was disgusted at what I was doing and threatened to delete a bond if I didn’t take it, so I accepted it and went to Rellekka to catch Lobsters to finish up 99 Cooking, where I hit 101 Fishing

Since I wanted to have the party on a specific day, and I still had bond time remaining, I did some Slayer.
During a Basilisk Knight task, I got a second Basilisk Jaw.

Later on in the task, I hit 85 Slayer, a major account goal.

This allows me to kill Abyssal Demons, of which the only one I currently have access to is the Abyssal Sire.
I quickly completed that task and set to work on getting myself prepared for what was to come. The first step I thought I needed was to get Saradomin Brews.
I’d collected a vast amount of herbs prior to my breaks, and had also been collecting herbs via Miscellania, so I did have enough herbs to get to 81.
I used up the secondaries that I had stored, cleaned the herbs that had piled up, and went to work collecting the rest of the materials that I needed.
I quickly hit 75 and then 76 Herblore with what I had.

While killing Cockatrices for Limpwurts (and an unfortunate failure of a Medium Clue juggle), I hit 100 Strength.

I continued Farming for useful herbs, and hit 66 Farming in the process.

I got sick of killing Cockatrices and decided to use my Kwuarms in a faster manner: making Weapon Poison. I spent a lot of time collecting Blue Dragon Scales, getting 77 and then 78 Herblore from my venture. Wanting to continue the fast tracking of the herblore grind, I opted to pick up Snape Grass for Fishing Potions, rather than hunt Kebbits for Hunter Potions. That path swiftly got me 79 and 80 Herblore, where I could boost to 81 and make Saradomin Brews.

I had accumulated enough supplies for Brews that making them all got me to 81 Herblore and then some.

After that was done, I ran through slayer tasks and got an Abyssal Demon task.
I was close to a Prayer Level, so I finished that up, getting to 67 Prayer.

I needed money for rubies for Ruby Bolts so I went and did some Alchgility. Hit 92 Magic from that.

Also tried mining gem rocks for rubies and diamonds and hit 72 Mining.

While discussing my plans with some friends, someone recommended me Slay Brother, who was also doing Abyssal Sire without Ancient Magics, like me. I tried his method out, but unfortunately do not have the DPS to melee Sire (Leaf Bladed Battleaxe is classes below the Whip, which is what he was using.)
However, with the help of another friend, and an introduction to the Tbow method for Sire, I devised a plan for Rune Crossbow only kills.

My next task was to refine kills.
I tried using Brews to heal with, it did not go well.
I brought energy potions for the first few kills because I had them, but the inventory spaces they took up and the time it takes to get them made me want to forgo them. So I did.
The next issue I wanted to solve was ammunition. Rune bolts did wonders for damage, but they’re not easy for me to accumulate mass values of (Without spending a lot of time in LMS, which I’d rather not do). Diamond bolts also helped a lot, but diamonds require mining to gather reliable amounts of, which I loathe. Rune arrows aren’t that bad to get, and LMS can give a lot more of those than Rune Bolts (Dragonstone Bolts, really, but they’re essentially the same for this purpose). But they’re still not something that helps to use a lot of all the time. So I decided to only use them in one specific part of the fight, to maximize their efficacy.
Broad bolts are stupid easy to get. Rubies and Adamant Bolts are stupid easy to get. I settled on using Broad Bolts for most of the kill, changing to Ruby Bolts at the start of phase 2. Once phase 3 started, I switch to a MSB (i) with Rune Arrows and spec twice, hoping for high hits, and then quickly swap back to the Rune Crossbow with Ruby Bolts and hope that hits/specs go off and phase to phase 4, where I sit on Broad Bolts for the rest of the kill.
Phase 1: I run from the Edgeville Glory teleport to the Zamorak Mage and enter the Sire Arena via the Abyssal Runecrafting area. I wake up Sire, wait until I can damage him, then shoot him until I do 75 damage to him, which stuns him. Then I rush to kill the respiratory systems, making sure to only kill 3. Then, I teleport out and restock, return to the arena, hope I wasn’t crashed, kill the 4th system, and begin phase 2.
Phase 2: I use a 2:1 method (not 100% familiar with the term, I shoot him twice, walk under him, and repeat). I try to precisely lower his health so that he’s as close to phasing as possible, then switch to Ruby Bolts and hope for high hits/specs to lower the amount of damage needed to transition in phase 3.
Phase 3: I can despawn the minions by setting the Tbow Method safespot early. This allows for saving of the kill most of the time if I noodle when trying to transition, making dodging the poison vents the only thing I need to do. However, fatigue starts set in the longer I have to constantly dodge, and prayer, range potion, and antipoison potions run out if I have to sit in p3 too long, so it’s not a guarantee that I can kill it then. But, that discovery definitely increased my kill chances.
Phase 4: I run through the Tbow Method, and if I’m lucky I can kill him in one cycle. If I’m unlucky, I have to re-start the safespot. I either kill him or die/teleport out, and start again at phase 1.
Here is a video I recorded that showcases most of what I described.
There is still more that I can do to refine kills, namely in phase 1. Entering the Abyss the way I do drains all my prayer, which takes 3 Prayer Potion doses to fill every time. I do that twice a kill and end up sinking 1.5 Prayer Potions/kill, or 264 potions for an example task. That is pretty devastating and I know something can be done about it. I believe I can, carefully, do prayerless setups for Phase 1, cutting the hemorrhage in half, but that will take practice.
I can get some better gear, and better levels, which will of course make for better kills. Namely, Black Dragonhide Armor, higher Prayer levels, higher Defence levels. I can try for an Archer Ring, and Snakeskin Boots.
I can practice flicking between attacks/movement. This will be the hard part, given the things I have to do, but it will also be the most rewarding, as having the ability to do that will shine in other PVM situations, too.
I’m sure there’s even more for me to discover, but for now, that’s what I’ve thought of.
I got 176 KC with the methods I used, and I even used Bracelets of Slaughter because I was confident in my ability to kill him.
On KC 21 I got a Mystic Lava Staff drop, the first Lava Staff on the account. Though I could have killed Lava Dragons or done Barbarian Assault Gambles for one, I never really had a use for the staff so I did not.

On KC 67 I got my first Unsired, which turned into an Abyssal Head.

I decided to take a break, during which I hit 68 Prayer, which bumped me into the next tier of Prayer Potion restoration.

The day I’d scheduled the party for 99 Cooking came and went, and I now only burn 9% of the Sharks I cook. I resumed my Sire kills shortly after.

I resumed my Sire kills shortly after.
On KC 132 I got my second Unsired, which turned into an Abyssal Bludgeon Spine. The rest of the kills, to 176, were uneventful.

Being completely drained of potions, I went Superior hunting, hitting 100 Ranged but otherwise getting nothing out of it.

I started to lose interest again, so I putzed around doing random shit, and got 78 Crafting.

I purchased a bunch of runes and splashed my way to 93 Magic, which would have helped me with Farming (sitting on Lunar Magic for Fertile Soil and boosting for Spellbook Swap to teleport to Trollheim for faster herb runs) if the desire to play were there.

After a long break, I came back to hit a total level milestone. I finished off 63 Runecrafting, and then spun bowstrings for 79 Crafting. 79 Crafting also allows me to make Black Dragonhide Vambraces, which ends the era of Red Spiky Vambraces.

I did some more Alchgility for money, and Agility experience, hitting 82 Agility.

Then, I got a big and a bad/good idea.
I cut and fletched to a lot of Maple Longbows, hitting 89 and then 90 Fletching.

At 90 Fletching, I also hit 1900 Total Level. (Full spread)

With Phase One of the Big and Bad/Good Idea done, I used the rest of the time on that bond to complete Phase Two.
I went to the Mage Arena Bank and purchased Nature Runes until I had 34,600.
I present to you: Operation Why Alchemy.

With my bond being out, and my desire to play also being low, I didn’t want to re-bond for a while. But I wanted something to do some progress towards that would also be extremely beneficial to the account. So I looked at what it would take to hit 96 Magic.
I looked at the stuff I had in my bank. I dug into the deepest pits of my self hatred and I set myself up to alch 34,600 things over the next month.
Just before writing this, I finished alching everything shown. I hit 96 Magic near the end of it, as planned. 96 Magic unlocks Spellbook Swap, allowing me to do something I’ve talked about before.

As I was nearing the end of that grind, I decided to make things worse.
I present another thing to you: THE PLAN

I am going to kill 16.4k Blue Dragons, make and alch 5.4k Blue D’hide Bodies, bury 5.4k Dragon Bones, hit 44m gp, use that money to make planks and hit 82 Construction.
That grind will afford me the following things:
99 Hitpoints
Basically 79 Prayer
The ability to craft Full Black D’hide (Minus the shield, which I need Redwood for)
804k xp away from 99 Magic
The ability to make a Fancy Rejuvenation Pool (and other things with 82+3 Construction)
Around 27m gp left over
Everything of which will be beneficial to all PVM aspects of the account.
I also have 8/10 of the Stamina Potions I need, which I should be very likely to get during that grind.
So, I will commence with that soon, starting with buying all the supplies I need for the Blue Dragon crafting grind.
We’ll see how burnout goes with that
I have to update some things in my main copy-paste google doc stuff, and I’m slowly working on that.
That’s all I got for now folks, hope you enjoyed reading it and I hope the next log comes much sooner.
These were my stats at the time of this post
