Progress

After realizing that I’d lost my one-click teleport upon completing the
Hard Fremennik Diary, I quickly began making planks for construction
training. I then used them all to hit 65 Construction, which, with Tea, let me boost to 67 Construction and build a Mahogany Eagle Lectern.

With that done, I made a bunch of Teleport to House tablets from the
Soft Clay I had made previously, giving me a one-click teleport once
again.Unfortunately this put a dent in my money so I’ve shelved the Edgeville Respawn goal once again.

I noticed I was close to 70 Crafting so I cast Spin Flax for a bit to complete the level.

Been working on a bunch of Slayer, and got another Basilisk task. This time, having spent points on the extension, and quite a few lucky Bracelet of Slaughter procs, I ended up killing around 350 from a task of 234. It was quite a drain on supplies but I learned that Diamond Bolts (e) aren’t as useful for me as I thought, eliminating one thing holding back future trips, and I also got a lot of Slayer experience.

No Jaw unfortunately, even though I got a Curved Bone…

I did hit 88 Hitpoints and 89 Ranged during the task, however.

I did some spreadsheet work and determined that Vanakka wasn’t as bad a choice for Slayer as I’d previously thought. His Superior chance (16.67 %) is lower than Chaeldar’s (20.63%) but higher than Nieve’s (8.22%) and Duradel’s (6.64%). Compared to Chaeldar’s incompatible task chance (41.26%), Vanakka’s is better (34.59%), meaning that he’ll help me gain some Slayer Points while also offering a chance at Superior creatures and thus potential access to their drop tables. For times where I solely want to try to fight Superior creatures, though, Chaeldar will probably still be my go-to.

Vanakka also has the added benefit of assigning Green Dragons, giving me an excuse to try for Brutal Green Dragon’s Dragonstone RDT while doing slayer (plus their Dragonhides will offer Crafting experience and some money).

Continuing with the Slayer talk, I hit 77 Slayer. At 78 I’ll use the Wild Pies I’ve obtained to try to get Dragon Boots from Spiritual Mages.

On another task, I hit 80 Defence, my final melee level until I hit 99 Strength (depending on the importance of melee DPS in the future).

I’ve decided to unlock the Slayer Ring crafting option with my next 300 Slayer Points (Pretty close now, 202 I believe). This is mostly to help my Herb runs, though having a teleport to the cave will benefit Slayer, Herblore (grinding Limpwurts from Cockatrices), and money making too.

The Slayer Cave teleport is closer to the path to Trollheim than the POH portal, making it better for me to use that when I’m on Lunar Magic for the Fertile Soil spell.

I have very limited access to Supercompost (Until I start taking down Wilderness bosses that is, (1/100 chance from Earth Implings to give 2 noted Supercompost) and I honestly should start working on that despite wanting to wait until I can make Black Dragonhide gear), so I’ve been putting off using my Ranarr seeds, holding back a bunch of Farming experience (never mind that I’ve just not been making Herb runs in general). I would like to have easier runs for Fertile Soil + the more useful seeds in general, to maximize the resources and experience I get from them.

Another option is to just get 93 Magic and boost to use Spellbook Swap to teleport to Trollheim that way, but it’s probably easier to do this, for now.

While I still need to get 75 Crafting (also for other already established goals) to make the Slayer Rings, (and 73 Agility to really make up for lost time with the Trollheim Roof shortcut) I don’t have much else to spend points on so unlocking them now vs. when I have the other requirements doesn’t hurt at all.

That’s all I’ve got for this period, Slayer unfortunately takes a lot of time and thus potential for other content, and I was also sick last weekend so I lost a few days of playtime.

These were my stats at the time of this post
