Preface
While I’ve played on and off since Twisted League started and ended
(Nov 14, 2019 to Jan 16, 2020 for reference), the past three weeks have
the highest concentration of play, however little that may be. Not gonna
lie, I’ve been burnt out lately, even with the break and breath of
fresh air that Twisted League afforded me, which has made it harder to
stay away from other games.
I have been feeling the urge to play again lately though so I hope to come back in some sort of force soon.
The Thieving grind definitely isn’t helping, especially since it’s
easier to do on mobile (When I trap the citizen, and use two-tap mode, I
can just tap in the same spot to repeatedly pickpocket, vs on PC where
no matter where I right click I have to move the mouse again). I should
probably just throw a show up on my desktop and chug away at it on my
tablet so I can finally get that over with and go back to having fun.
Progress
As for the actual account progress, unsurprisingly there hasn’t been all that much.
Before Twisted League, I hit 83 Magic, which lets me boost to cast Plank Make. Using some Teak Logs I previously obtained from Kingdom Management, I made two Portal Rooms and put 3 Waterbirth portals in one and 3 Lunar Isle portals in the other, and played around with the layout of my house a bit. Screw efficiency, I’m making it into a sort of longhall!

I also got 51 Farming, which isn’t a useful level but they’re still difficult to come by.

While I was playing Twisted League, I dumped most of my money into Kingdom Management, which netted me a lot of herbs and made my herb tab look pretty nice. Now I’ve just got to get a bunch of secondaries and then I’ll have the Herblore task done.

Cleaning all those herbs got me to 61 Herblore and then making Prayer Potions with the Ranarrs almost put me to 62, and as a reminder the goal is 65.

I knocked a few Thieving levels out, putting me at 68 out of 75 (and 9,112 pickpockets to go, from 16,300). As they were on mobile I didn’t grab screenshots of them.
Been working on looking for AFK things I could do. I’m also looking at incorporating using my tablet while I play on my desktop so I can do AFK things on it when I’m playing games that are not Alt-tab friendly.
One such thing was offering my collection of Big Bones at my PoH altar. While it is certainly worse to do that rather than offer them at the Chaos altar, I see offering Big Bones at the Chaos altar not really worth the hassle and resources and it’s also not something I really want to do at the moment.
However, I will need 59 (+2 to 61) Construction to make the burners for the PoH altar so while writing this I made a bunch of Mahogany Planks (Hard on my wallet, easier on my Nature Rune supply).
I killed a few Kurasks for the money to do so and I’m almost 86 Ranged due to that.
The core thing I’ll do when not Thieving will probably be killing Kurasks, since they give me money, noted Big Bones, which feed into the other AFK task, and other useful things. With the Herb Sack update that allows you to open the sack to auto-store herbs on pickup, Kurasks are even better to kill now.
While not AFK, I do want to try to get some clue scrolls done, particularly mediums, since they’re dropped by Cockatrices which also drop Limpwurt Roots, a key secondary in my Herblore training.
Despite setting up those plans though, I still feel as if I should get the Thieving over with, so I definitely have to work on getting over that somehow, haha.
Anyway, that’s it for the Barbarian stuff.
Twisted League was fun, definitely a solid start for Leagues as a whole. I’m interested in seeing what else comes to that format and I hope Jagex learned a lot from the first league going forward.
I did confirm that you can plant Spirit Seeds without having done Tree Gnome Stronghold, so I can get a few points of Farming experience whenever I hit 80 Farming!
My favorite part of the league was exploring Zeah, as I’d never been there before. I only really played OSRS at launch, and only for a little bit, until I started this account. As such, I’d not participated in much of the newer content (and still really don’t, given my restrictions). I do have experience overall with much of Runescape, as I’d played before and after RS3, but Zeah was completely new to me.
As it doesn’t really pertain to the account, I’ll leave it at that.
Well, that and this video of me alching my big ticket items from the league.
These were my stats at the time of this post
