Progress Log #14: Weeks 29 & 30; October 25 2019

Preface

I’ve decided that I’ll dabble in Twisted League when it launches, as I’ve never actually been to/done anything in Zeah (I did go exploring the areas where there are some Barbarians but that’s all, that hardly touches anything the continent has to offer).

I figure it’ll be a nice to take a break from this while still playing the same account in some way, and without directly ruining the account. It’ll also give me some more appreciation for my main grinds, too.

Been playing Fire Emblem: Three Houses so not much to show for milestone progress. I’ve done a bit more experimenting for things, mostly Dragon slaying, though.

Progress

First progress point was getting 72 Fletching while making Broad Bolts for general usage and near-future AFK grinding.

I used said bolts to grind Kurasks for money and herbs to test out my new Herb Sack and I am certainly very happy that I unlocked it.

That was all from one trip/inventory, and I could have lasted much longer if I hadn’t cleaned too many herbs and been unable to store them. (I could have dropped the herbs but that would hurt).

Being able to stay there for so long is a great boon to my supply collection.

Herbs are always useful of course, Herb seeds similarly (if not doubly).

Money, as usual, can be spent on a myriad of things, Runes and Kingdom Management being the top priority at the moment (with Bolts sliding up when I get low).

And Natures are Natures, can’t ever get enough of those.

From all that, I also got 85 Ranged.

I decided to try to spice some things up and went to try to kill the KBD.

Things were certainly spicy, but in an unsatisfying tasteless heat sort of way.

I got 2 kills, 1 with Melee and the other with Ranged, and the Melee kill took 2 trips. Other than the knowledge I gained, it wasn’t really worth it. Was pretty fun though so I might still go sometimes.

After that, I tried to gather Mangled Bones for the chance at getting Antifire Mixes from Ferocious Barbarian Spirits, but I didn’t set things up correctly and didn’t get too many bones (I did kill a bunch of Brutal Green Dragons, which are a hell of a lot easier to do with an Antifire Shield, unsurprisingly).

I’ll definitely try for more Mangled Bones later, as I do know a decent way to farm them, because I’m certain Antifire Mixes will make KBD vastly better to kill.

Around this time I didn’t get too much done due to Fire Emblem and work.

I experimented with killing Pyrefiends for Chaos Runes (For Crumble Undead) but that was basically fruitless. I decided that it’d be much better to kill Kurasks for money (and Natures) and spend that money on runes, because even though it would be expensive to buy Chaos Runes this way, the other drops will be far more useful than what Pyrefiends drop and thus I’d see more progress going down that route. Once I start really killing bosses this might change, but for now that’s how it’ll be.

I went on to use most of my Chaos Runes killing Ankou (with Crumble Undead) for Blood and Death Runes, switching to Ranged once I was out.

After neglecting quite a few Farming runs, I hit 49 Farming. I can now Cider boost to plant Avantoes but I’ll probably still use Garden pies because the extra levels can still potentially give more herbs, and the pies are less annoying to stock up on.

I’ve been mining Pure Essence while writing this because it was the first thing that came to mind when I was thinking about relatively AFK tasks. It’s netted me about 3k or so Essence, and put me close to 81 Magic and 67 Mining so I went and knocked those out in between IRL distractions.

These were my stats at the time of this post
