Preface
The Fremennik Exiles passed.
Progress
Started off the week killing Moss Giants and Mammoths to hunt for herb seeds and bush seeds. While doing so, I hit 75 – 77 Attack (76 and 77 were on mobile unfortunately). This was actually bad at the time because I out-leveled the aggression range of Moss Giants and lost an AFK training method. Seeing as most of that was on mobile my kills dropped because I was at work. Still managed to gather enough seeds for my goals, though.

Through the bones gathered in that period, I hit 55 Prayer.

From all my efforts I ended up at 39 Farming at the end of week 25.

Hit 78 Attack from further seed gathering, as well as 56 Prayer.

At this point in the Farming grind I decided to get to at least 15k XP away from 46, which would allow me to use the Fremennik and Wilderness Medium Diary lamps to finish the grind up in time to complete The Fremennik Exiles on release.
Once I got to that, I started all the quests I would need for the Diaries and Heroes’ Quest. My friend Zoe accompanied me to perform her duties as The Exception Police and remind me that my account was ruined.
Started with the ones near the Fremennik Province, and rippled out from there, mostly completing them efficiently and quickly.
The first one was Murder Mystery, right outside the gate of the region. Then, Merlin’s Crystal, a short jaunt from the previous quest. While I was working on obtaining Excalibur for Merlin’s Crystal, I started Fishing Competition.

After finishing up Merlin’s Crystal, I went to do most of Fishing Competition to the west. As Dwarf Cannon was nearby, I picked that up and completed the parts in that area as well.

Teleporting to Barbarian Village, I finished up more parts of Dwarf Cannon on Ice Mountain, then ran to turn in Fishing Competition by White Wolf Mountain. I then headed to the end of Dwarf Cannon and turned that in.

Deciding to sacrifice integrity for speed, I teleported to Varrock, where I completed Shield of Arrav, with the help of Exception Police Officer Zoe, and started Priest in Peril. I then headed to Lumbridge to do Restless Ghost.

More integrity was lost when I forgot to get the Pure Essence required for Priest in Peril, so I quickly mined it in the Varrock essence mine, and then completed Priest in Peril, followed by Nature Spirit.

I then did Fairy Tale Part 1, followed by a Farming run, hitting 44 Farming, to ensure I was in lamping range for 46.

Afterwards, I completed Eagle’s Peak, started Fairy Tale Part 2 to unlock the Fairy Ring System, and then finished up the Medium Wilderness and Fremennik Diaries, putting the lamp rewards into Farming to hit 45 and then 46 Farming.

Forgot to hit 56 Herblore before all this so, using the herbs I gathered and grew, I quickly knocked that out.

Having met all the requirements to boost to complete Fairy Tale Part 2, I completed that too.

That put me at the 55 Quest Points required to start and then complete Heroes’ Quest which, with the aid of Zoe once more, I did. If I can manage to get off my arse and buy a Rune Pouch before Mysterious Emblems no longer exist, I’ll also buy a Dragon Battleaxe from the Bounty Hunter store so I can be a true barbarian with its special.

I decided to go back to my roots and craft some Yants™ to get 65 Crafting, the final requirement for The Fremennik Exiles.

Not wholly abandoning Farming, I did a few more runs and got 47 Farming.

Thursday, I got up immediately after the game updated and completed The Fremennik Exiles. I recorded a video or two of me doing it but I suck at OBS and there’s no game audio so I’ll have to definitely at least record some commentary if I ever plan to release it.

Thoughts on The Fremennik Exiles
I thought the quest was nice, if too short. There are very few things it brought to the lore of the region, though I’ve yet to talk to the Moonclan folk after completing it. I know you get a surname afterwards and some NPCs dialogues have changed in Rellekka itself, but other than a few bits about V here and there as well as the Basilisks, there isn’t much else. I don’t think the Mountain Tribe changes, though their involvement was only the polished rock bit.
I do have to say I’m extremely disappointed in how the Heroes’ Quest is a requirement but the only bit that’s even used in it is the Ice Gloves. It honestly feels half (or less) assed in its implementation and given the amount of exceptions required to do the quest, extremely unworthy of being a requirement. At least Throne of Miscellania outright says why you need to have Heroes’ Quest done, which really is good enough for me.
I’m sad too that the Mountain Tribe plays no role in the quest, though with the way the quest was structured I don’t see how they could have. Maybe there could have been an invasion from the Slayer Cave Basilisks that we had to protect them from, further strengthening the bond between the two tribes?
The Moonclan bits were alright, still more tension between them and the Rellekka folks so I didn’t expect them to have much involvement given what was known about the quest.
As for Basilisk Knights, I did expect them to be tougher, but I’m not unhappy about them being safespottable. Their drops don’t change things much, though having easier access to Torstol and Snapdragons is nice. The runes are fantastic and the money’s alright. I’ll definitely never have to worry about buying Law runes again. The jaw has not dropped for me yet but the drops mostly make up for that.
While farming Basilisk Knights, I hit 84 Hitpoints and 83 Ranged.

These were my stats at the time of this post

Goals:
Continue farming Basilisk Knights
